New man at the joystick for Boeing International
Dr Brendan Nelson will take over as president of Boeing International and lead the company's international strategy and corporate operations. The former Australian diplomat and government minister will succeed Sir Michael Arthur when the latter retires from Boeing early in 2023, after five decades of service in the public and private sectors, including the last four years at the joystick for Boeing International.
Nelson, the second non-US citizen to lead the organisation, will report to Boeing president and CEO Dave Calhoun and join the company’s executive council. He has been president of Boeing Australia, New Zealand and South Pacific (BANZSP) since February 2020. He’ll move to London to take up his new role from 12 January 2023.
Maria Fernandez will succeed Nelson as president of BANZSP on 20 December 2022. (cj)
