Man and BGL send truck drivers onto the pitch
At the latest Saturday football match between TSV 1860 Munich and FSV Zwickau, truck drivers accompanied the players onto the pitch instead of the usual children.
With this campaign, the commercial vehicle manufacturer Man Truck & Bus and the Federal Association for Road Haulage, Logistics and Disposal (BGL) wants to draw attention to the massively increasing shortage of professional truck drivers.
Already today, there is a lack of about 100,000 drivers nationwide, which means that the supply of the population with goods for their daily needs is now at risk. BGL therefore calls for stronger action to make the profession of truck driver more attractive. (cj)
