Jamaica appoints deputy registrar in Florida
The Maritime Authority of Jamaica (MAJ) has appointed William Nock of Jamaican Yacht Registration Services as a deputy registrar, effective 30 August 2033. He will represent the Jamaica ship registry for the registration of yachts in the USA market space.
William Nock is a maritime professional with 20 years’ experience in the maritime industry. Having worked for ABS as a surveyor focussing on new and after-construction surveys, he then joined a major mega yacht and ship registry where he rose to the level of senior executive.
He will be assisting mega yacht owners with vessel and mortgage registration and general regulatory matters. His appointment comes against the background of a realignment of the MAJ’s development strategy in this core market area. (cj)
