HMM joins up two of its services in the APAC region
South Korea’s Hyundai Merchant Marine has linked its Transpacific PS2 service to its China-India Express (CIX).
This way, fourteen instead of fifteen ships of between 6,000 teu and 8,500 teu will call weekly at the following ports: Kaohsiung (Taiwan), Busan (South Korea), Long Beach, Oakland (CA, USA), Busan, Kwangyang (South Korea), Ningbo (China), Kaohsiung, Shenzhen (Shekou) in China, Singapore, Port Kelang (Malaysia), Nhava Sheva, Mundra in India, Karachi (Pakistan), Port Kelang, Singapore, Laem Chabang (Thailand), Ho Chi Minh City (Vietnam) and back to Kaohsiung.
Moreover, the 'Global Liner Performance Report – July 2019’, issued by Sea-Intelligence, ranked HMM as the most reliable carrier in June 2019 with a score of 91.8% – an increase of 8.2 percentage points compared to the previous month. This result was calculated on the basis of a range of services, including Trans-Pacific, Asia-Europe, Trans-Atlantic, India, Middle-East and South America. (cd)
