Claus Wagner re-elected chairman of Vacad
Germany’s association of air cargo handlers Vacad has confirmed its current three-member board following board elections. The managing director of Frankfurt Cargo Services FCS, in office since April 2021, will continue to jointly represent the interests of the association, as will the re-elected deputy chairman, Patrik Tschirch, managing director of LUG aircargo handling, and treasurer Christian Biesecke, head of cargo & logistics at Portground.
Vacad’s central concern remains unchanged: The unpractical implementation of EU transit regulations continues to put Germany’s airfreight sector at a disadvantage in international competition and only increases traffic instead of reducing it. Another focus of the association will be the exchange of information on the logistics industry with authorities and ministries. (cj)
