Changes at Uship
Uship, a specialist for moving large items like furniture, vehicles and freight, has announced key 2022 results and the launch of new LTL (less-than-truckload) solutions. Uship has also reported that CEO Kris Lamb has stepped down to focus on family medical matters.
COO Heather Hoover-Salomon is assuming the role of interim CEO, while Lamb will remain as a senior advisor with the company. Uship expects to name a permanent chief executive by the end of March.
Hoover-Salomon has served as Uship’s COO since July 2019 and, before that, as executive vice president for operations. She is Uship’s longest-tenured employee, joining in 2005 as a public relations and marketing intern.
Uship’s key highlights for 2022 include: 795,000 shipments – or one every 40 seconds – were listed on Uship, USD 206 million in gross shipping volume through the Uship marketplace, 268,000 business shipments were listed on Uship. (cj)
