Americold appoints new COO for North America
Americold Realty Trust, a global specialist in temperature-controlled logistics real estate, and value-added services focused on the ownership, operation, acquisition, and development of temperature-controlled warehouses, has appointed Bryan Verbarendse as chief operating officer for North America.
Verbarendse brings more than 31 years of experience in retail and whole grocery supply chain to the company. Prior to joining Americold he served as senior VP of distribution and replenishment for Albertson’s.
Verbarendse has also served as group VP of distribution at Albertson’s and held general manager roles at Albertson’s and Supervalu. He holds a BBA in finance from Boise State University.
Americold owns and/or operates 242 temperature-controlled warehouses, with approximately 1.5 billion refrigerated cubic feet of storage, in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and South America. (cj)
