Aapa elects new board chairman
At its 111th annual convention and expo in Orlando, Florida, the American Association of Port Authorities (Aapa) elected Sean Strawbridge of the Port of Corpus Christi as the new chairman of its board of directors. Outgoing chairman Mario Cordero of the Port of Long Beach made the formal announcement during his address to members and attendees.
Strawbridge has worked in the energy and global transportation sector for more than 30 years. He has experience in development, capital structuring, operation, and both public and private partnerships and has been CEO of the Port of Corpus Christi, the third largest port in USA, for almost eight years.
The port is also the largest gateway for energy exports produced in USA with over USD 1 billion in assets under management. (cj)
