ZIM expands Latin America network
ZIM Integrated Shipping Services is expanding its Latin America network with the launch of two new offerings: ZIM Albatross (ZAT) and ZIM Gulf Toucan (ZGT).
ZAT offers direct connections between North China, Korea, Mexico, and the West Coast of South America, starting in December 2023. The rotation will be: Xingang – Qingdao – Shanghai – Ningbo – Busan – Lazaro Cardenas – Buenaventura – Guayaquil – Callao – San Antonio – Busan – Xingang.
ZGT connects the East Coast of South America to the Gulf of Mexico and the US, commencing in January 2024. The service will call at: Buenos Aires – Montevideo – Navegantes or Itapoa – Paranagua – Santos – Rio De Janeiro – Cartagena – Kingston – Veracruz – Altamira – Houston – Mobile – Kingston– Cartagena –Santos – Buenos Aires.
These services aim to improve ZIM's presence and connectivity in Latin America, benefiting both new and existing customers. Eran Epstein, ZIM VP Latin America BU, highlighted the broader reach and tailored customer service of these additions to the company's portfolio. (pb)
