Zeaborn tankers are born
Claus-Peter Offen Tankschiffreederei (“CPO Tankers”) has been rebranded. Its new name is Zeaborn Ship Management Tanker (“Zeaborn Tankers”). The company became a part of the Bremen (Germany)-based Zeaborn Group since June 2019 and started trading under its new name with effect from 4 November 2019. Some restructuring was done in 2019 and 2018.
Since August last year, the group has bundled its ship management activities for dry cargo vessels – container, bulk and multipurpose – under the Zeaborn Ship Management brand. Zeaborn Tankers will now operate as a legally independent company under the brand name Zeaborn Ship Management as well, thus expanding the company’s service portfolio to the wet market for oil and product tankers.
Its combined technically managed fleet currently comprises about 150 container and bulk cargo ships, multipurpose vessels and tankers. The Zeaborn Group was only established in 2013 and has become one of the larger players in the market by the acquisition of several major companies, including Rickmers-Line, Rickmers Shipmanagement, E.R. Schiffahrt, HC Chartering, Intermarine and CPO Tankers. (fd)
