Woodland joins iPort
A new fulfilment and distribution facility has come on stream in Doncaster, Yorkshire, UK. Woodland Group, a British logistics company with offices across the USA, Ireland, Asia and Europe, has opened the warehouse due to new business won in the packaging industry.
The group has invested in a 18,300 sqm facility that is part of iPort, a multimodal logistics hub. iPort is being developed by Verdion to meet the newest standards in the market.
The site includes a rail connection cargo facility which runs services from Southampton, Felixstowe, London Gateway and Teesport delivering a carbon conscious supply chain solution across the UK and direct services to Europe via the Channel Tunnel.
The Woodland Group joins iPort, which is also part of the ambitious bid for a new free port in South Yorkshire. (sh)
