WiseTech acquires Editrade
WiseTech Global has signed an agreement to acquire Editrade, a provider of customs management software headquartered in Santiago (Chile).
The acquisition extends the reach of WiseTech’s Cargowise platform in Chile, Ecuador, Panama and Mexico, supporting its goal of expanding customs capabilities in the region. Founded in 1995, Editrade offers digital customs solutions to customs agencies and companies engaged in international trade. Its platform facilitates import and export procedures and is already in use in several Latin American markets.
Editrade will continue to operate under CEO Juan Enrique Ortuzar Elton (pictured, centre). The company will maintain its services, while gradually offering access to other WiseTech products. WiseTech’s aim is to cover 90% of global manufactured trade flows through its integrated software solutions. (js)
