Windy summer season around the Baltic Sea
During the 2020 summer season, Chipolbrok vessels showed an increased presence in Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea due to the predominance of wind energy projects in the region. Especially in Poland various wind farm projects are under development and must be supplied with on-shore wind mill equipment.
Whilst chartered XL Lady "Chipol Baoan" called at Danish Esbjerg for a full load of totally 14 complete sets of wind towers, Chipolbrok’s own vessel "Kraszewski“ und charter vessel "Chipol Taian" discharged cargo at Szczecin (Poland) and Klaipeda (Lithuania), and loaded a full portion of break bulk cargo at St. Petersburg (Russia).
The „Chipolbrok Galaxy“ called at Gdynia (Poland), followed by Uddevalla (Sweden), Klaipeda and Rönnskär (Sweden). The towers collected at Esbjerg originated from Taicang in P.R. China and were finally destined for the Frøya wind park project, which is situated on the island of the same name off the coast of central Norway in the Northern Sea west of the district capital Trondheim.
