Wendolynn Montoya Cloonan joins Houston port commission
Harris County Commissioners Court has appointed Wendolynn “Wendy” Montoya Cloonan to serve as a member of the port commission of the Port of Houston Authority.
“I am pleased to welcome commissioner Cloonan to the port commission and look forward to her leadership,” port commission chairman Ric Campo said. Cloonan serves as director of legal for the Houston Endowment. Before joining the Houston Endowment in 2015, she was an attorney with Andrews Kurth LLP and Vinson & Elkins LLP.
A native Houstonian, Cloonan earned a bachelor of arts’ degree from Yale University, a master in public policy from Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Government, and a law degree with honours from the University of Texas’ School of Law. Cloonan fills the seat of former port commissioner John D. Kennedy, who has retired after serving on the commission since December 2012. (mw)
