Weekly Tarros Line East Med service
The Tarros Group has added the Italian port of Ravenna as a new node in its network, making the hub part of the new Tarros container service to and from several Eastern Mediterranean destinations. The shipping group has thus returned to Ravenna after a number of years of absence.
The main goal of the new service is to offer direct services to the Emilia-Romagna market in Italy. Tarros started regular box services in the Adriatic Sea in 2014, with its main hub in La Spezia and regular calls at the ports of Genoa, Salerno and Naples, with final destinations in all the main Mediterranean ports.
In 2018 Tarros re-organised its services from the Adriatic Sea, to offer direct connections every ten days between Italy, Greece, Egypt, Lebanon and Turkey, with transhipment to Syria and the Black Sea region. Tarros Line's sailings will now take place weekly.
