WDS established on the West Coast
The WFS-affiliate World Distribution Services (WDS) celebrated the launch of its new warehouse in Tacoma, Washington with a "grand opening ceremony".
The 28,000 sqm warehouse is WDS’s first west coast facility. It offers cross-dock and transload services, distribution and fulfilment, and e-commerce capability. With 46 dock doors, amongst others, the new location targets shippers using the Ports of Seattle and Tacoma.
The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), including CEO John Wolfe and commissioner Kristin Ang, also attended the ceremony.
As part of the World Group’s commitment to growth in the Pacific Northwest, WDS will support its sister company UWL by servicing Sun Chief Express, the ocean service between Vietnam and the west coast of USA which was introduced in early 2022. (sh)
