Warehouse development close to Birmingham
The authorities have given the green light for a new logistics development in Walsall to be carried out by the St Francis Group. The permission was granted for a major new warehouse of 38,000 sqm at a site in Darlaston, adjacent to the M6 near Wednesbury in the West Midlands.
The 28,328 sqm scheme – to be marketed as Parallel 113 - is also in close proximity to the M5, M54 and M42 motorways. The development will be untertaken speculatively with site clearance work starting in January and the unit being ready for occupation in the spring of 2022.
Amongst others, 12.5 m clear internal working height, 10 dock level doors and 98 HGV trailer parking spaces are planned. St Francis development director Gareth Williams spoke of a “significant commitment to the greater Birmingham area." (sh)
