Wan Hai Lines back to South America
On 3 May, Wan Hai Lines (WHL) resumed a service linking Asia to the west coast of South America. The standalone WHL service was suspended in the winter timetable. It has now been resumed, in partnership with PIL, EMC and Coscon, to provide customers with dedicated coverage.
The weekly ASA service will set sail from Kaohsiung and call at Shekou, Hong Kong, Ningbo, Shanghai, Manzanillo, Lazaro Cardenas, Puerto Quetzal, Buenaventura, Callao, Guayaquil and Manzanillo before returning to Kaohsiung. It will be operated with nine 3,500 to 3,900 teu ships. WHL will deploy four vessels, PIL three and Coscon/EMC one each. The first sailing is due to arrive in Kaohsiung on 3 May.
