Wact Onne terminal expansion opened
Nigeria's Vice President Shettima inaugurated a USD 115 million upgrade of APM Terminals' West Africa Container Terminal (Wact) in Onne this week. The upgrade includes expanded yard space, advanced cargo handling equipment, and sustainable power solutions like a 1MW solar facility.
This investment enhances efficiency, reduces turnaround times, and supports customs revenue generation. APM Terminals plans to invest an additional USD 500 million in the future as part of its commitment to boosting economic growth in Nigeria. (pb)
