Vygon takes over distributor in Peru
France-based Vygon, a global medical devices group, has acquired Macatt Medica, a distribution company headquartered in Lima (Peru).
Founded in 1997, Macatt Medica has been distributing the majority of Vygon’s products, including a wide range of enteral nutrition products, in Peru since 2010. The financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed. With this acquisition, Macatt Medica will become a fully owned subsidiary for the distribution of Vygon’s goods in South America.
A family company founded in 1962, Vygon generated 83% of its EUR 344 million turnover in 2020 with its international business. Vygon’s products are manufactured in the group’s eight factories in Europe, USA and Colombia. (sh)
