VTL takes next step
The general cargo cooperation VTL Vernetzte-Transport-Logistik has been advancing its future project "VTL Next" since April 2020. VTL managing director Johanna Birkhan highlights the successful introduction of an online transport cost calculator, which is designed for small companies, tradesmen and retailers.
In only three steps, customers can dispatch their goods quickly and in a professional manner. The ETA main leg calculator is another digital innovation, allowing customers to call up the estimated time of arrival of the truck at the HUB Fulda in Germany or at the warehouses.
VTL Vernetzte-Transport-Logistik was founded in 1998, is headquartered in Fulda, Germany and links up around 120 medium-sized freight companies. With 1.30 million shipments and a total weight of 491,292 t, the cooperation generated EUR 64.8 million in turnover in 2019. (sh)
