VTG grows in Europe and Asia
VTG is expanding its footprint on two international fronts: The Germany-based private wagon rental company and provider of rail logistics services has founded its own branch in Japan and acquired a majority stake in Carbo Rail in Europe.
By taking over the Slovak rail company, VTG strengthens its presence in central and eastern Europe, since Carbo Rail has operating licences in Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary.
The foundation of the Japanese branch is part of VTG's strategy to enhance its project logistics portfolio: "Our particular strengths in this field are transport services for heavy duty and oversize cargoes for the construction of facilities and manufacturing plants in Russia and CIS," says VTG.
