VTG expands presence in Russia
After many years of an indirect presence relying on cooperation with agents, VTG will now take sole responsibility for managing and implementing all its tank container operations in Russia and the Baltics as from September 2020.
Specifically, the company will use the existing structures of VTG Project Logistics at its locations in Moscow and St. Petersburg in Russia and Klaipėda in Lithuania to process VTG Tanktainer's orders.
In a next step, with support from VTG Rail Russia, the Germany-based rail wagon rental and rail logistics company plans to establish its own tank containers in the Russian market so that it can offer domestic transport services as well. (ben)
