VPI: guarantee rail logistics across Europe
Private wagon keepers operating across Europe have taken all the necessary measures to keep supply chains up and running as far as possible so that they can deliver goods and materials to the economy and the population during the Covid-19 pandemic even if there is a lockdown.
"Our member companies are prepared and can guarantee that their freight wagons are available for a smooth completion of transport services," says Malte Lawrenz.
The chairman of the German association of wagon keepers now calls upon the relevant European authorities to ensure a coordinated approach. (ben)
