Volvo's e-trucks discover Latin America
More markets for battery electric trucks: Volvo Trucks has now delivered its first heavy-duty electric trucks to Latin America, with the vehicles going to customers in Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay. Volvo’s electric trucks are now in service on six continents and in 45 countries.
In Brazil, Reiter Log will be deploying five Volvo FM Electrics on various routes. SQM and El Libertador in Chile have each put one Volvo FH Electric into service, while Uruguay-based Bitafal has acquired one Volvo FM Electric. The electric versions of Volvo FH and Volvo FM can operate at a total weight of 44 t and have a range of up to 300 km on a full charge. (ben)
