Volvo FMs for urban multi-drop deliveries
In the UK, the multi-temperature distribution specialist Moran Logistics has added 15 new Volvo FM 460 6x2 tractor units to its 250 strong truck fleet. The haulier will deploy these vehicles for multi-drop deliveries into urban areas and its trunking operations as part of its nationwide pallet service. The units are expected to be in operation for five years and cover roughly 160,000 km per year.
Established in 2006, Moran Logistics operates 24/7 from its Castle Donington headquarters. Its services include storage, picking, loading and delivery of chilled, ambient, or frozen food – from production line to regional distribution centre or directly to retail stores. (ben)
