Vietnamese carrier confirms Europe plans
Only 16 months after its launch Bamboo Airways has landed in Europe for the first time. The young Vietnamese airline actually intended to fly to Prague (from Hanoi) this weekend and to start regular services to Munich (from Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City) and Melbourne (from Hanoi) during the course of next week, but a date for the take-off of its long-haul business will only be determined after the end of the Covid19 pandemic.
But the airline did fly to Prague this week. On board the B787 were almost 300 Czechs and other Europeans - as well as 10 t of medical assistance from the Vietnamese government to Czechia, to support the Covid-19 prevention and control in this country. (ah)
