Vietjet prepares for more cargo volumes
Vietjet reports consolidated revenue of VND 12,875 billion (approx. USD555 million) for 2021, with an after-tax profit of VND 80 billion. The privately held carrier, which will pay a 20% stock dividend, has bounced back and expanded its flight network (76 aircraft flying to 44 domestic and 95 international destinations), e.g., airlifting over 63,000 t of freight, including "millions of Covid-19 vaccine doses".
Looking forward, Vietjet hopes to earn more than VND 22,300 billion (approx. USD 959.29 million) in air transport revenue this year and make a profit. It is also planning to IPO its cargo unit by the end of this year or early 2023.
