VDR elects new board members
After welcoming Dr Martin Kröger as its new chief executive officer in spring, the German Shipowners' Association VDR has now promoted staff members Irina Haesler and Tilo Wallrabenstein to its executive board.
Haesler is a lawyer and has been with VDR since 2013, most recently as head of its Brussels office. Wallrabenstein is an attorney and has worked as in-house counsel for the association since 2010. He is in charge of the association’s law and tax department.
These appointments reflect the increased importance of these areas of expertise for the shipping industry. VDR has around 220 members and represents most of Germany’s merchant fleet. (cj)
