USD 100 million for seven fat years
Miami-headquartered Cargo Force, which is part of a ground handling group that includes Alliance Ground International and TCSC Security founded in 2002, is expanding on a big scale.
The group is opening four new facilities in USA to facilitate mail and express mail services in partnership with United States Postal Service (USPS). Both parties have signed a contract for USD 100 million, prolonging its running contract for another seven years.
The new warehouses are located strategically, in Seattle (Washington), San Diego (California), Detroit (Michigan) and Orlando (Florida). All in all, they cover a surface of 53,000 sqm.
“The opening of these new facilities expands the 26 years of partnership we have developed with USPS and broadens our customer offerings across the United States,” said Jared Azcuy, CEO of Cargo Force.
Existing sites are located at Jacksonville International Airport, Florida and Eppley Airfield, Nebraska. The Seattle hub opened its doors on 4 October 2021, and the San Diego, Detroit, and Orlando facilities will open on 1 November 2021. (sh)
