USA: going intermodal between LA and Ohio
Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway (BNSF) is expanding is intermodal service offer. The US class I railroad has introduced a direct rail intermodal service connecting Los Angeles CA and the Ohio Valley region.
The new service provides access to some of the fastest growing industrial and consumer markets in and around northwest Ohio including Toledo, Columbus, Detroit, Louisville and Pittsburgh, according to BNSF.
The railway's new domestic and international intermodal container-only service is available five days a week for both eastbound and westbound freight. This supports a more efficient supply chain. (ben)
