US short line railroad invests in track inspection
Finger Lakes Railway (FLRK) is investing in TekTracking’s track software to manage all track inspection, maintenance and scheduling activities. The US short line railroad is based in Geneva, NY, and owns and operates 270 km of track from its headquarters.
The railway has tracks in six counties in the Finger Lakes region including Ontario, Seneca, Cayuga, Onondaga, Yates and Schuyler and is connected to the class I rail network of CSX, Norfolk Southern and New York Susquehanna & Western Railroads.
Since FLRK began operations in 1995, it has added 50+ full time employees and now has a fleet of 19 locomotives. It also leases 500+ railcars. (ben)
