US short-line railroad expands into Indiana
TNW has been selected by the Perry County Port Authority (PCPA) to operate and provide common carrier rail services over the rail lines currently owned and operated by the PCPA as the Hoosier Southern Railroad (HOS). The parties expect to finalise the transaction in the second quarter of 2019.
PCPA owns 35km of track in southern Indiana. The track extends from Cannelton (IN) through Perry and Spencer counties to Lincoln City (IN), connecting with Norfolk Southern. HOS provides exclusive rail services to the Tell City River Port on the Ohio River, The Tell City Industrial Park in Troy (IN), and the Santa Claus Industrial Park in Santa Claus (IN). TNW operates three short-line railroads and two transload facilities in Texas. (ben)
