US forwarder augments hub network
Road One Intermodal Logistics is building a new distribution and transload facility in Summerville, South Carolina, USA, near the port of Charleston.
The site will become operational in two phases, with a 35,750 sqm facility and 52 sqm of trailer and container parking to be opened in January 2025, followed by an additional trailer and container parking in January 2027.
Both facilities are designed for round-the-clock operations and will be fully fenced, gated, and equipped with extensive camera monitoring and lighting to ensure top-tier security and safety.
South Carolina Ports is a critical supply chain gateway for the Southeast market with extensive port services and rail connections to the inland port network. (ben)
