US class I railway expands in Kentucky
Florida-based CSX has chosen the Henderson Bypass Rail Site in Henderson (KY, USA) as a CSX select site. Select sites are development-ready properties along the CSX network to expand the railway’s facilities.
Kentucky has a strong track record of recruiting rail-served industries and is well-positioned to take advantage of the CSX rail network, according to the US class I railway. The 1,600,000 sqm site is adjacent to the Henderson Bypass and close to a CSX branch line that serves the nearby Henderson County Riverport along the Ohio River.
It is the third site in Kentucky to be designated a CSX select site and only one of two dozen properties across CSX’s service territory to meet the rigorous site selection criteria. (ben)
