UPS renews GDP certificates
For its network in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland), UPS has again been awarded the Good Distribution Practice (GDP) certificate by the Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen (German association for the certification of management systems, DQS).
The GDP certificate confirms that the logistics services provider fully complies with all EU standards for the shipment of health products that do not require refrigeration.
Inter alia, DQS assesses the following criteria: quality control, staff training, security, internal inspection procedures and hygiene in the facilities.
UPS-Healthcare is the integrator’s subsidiary for the healthcare sector and specialises in inventory management, packaging materials for cool chains and shipment, storage and handling of medical equipment, logistics for laboratories and material for clinical trials. (sh)
