UPS picks president for European market
UPS has named Daniel Carrera as the new president of UPS Europe, a role in which he will manage the company’s operations and UPS employees in 56 countries and territories. UPS’ European market continues to grow in response to the increasing demands of e-commerce and it plays an important role in the delivery of vaccines.
Carrera has held several leadership positions, most recently as president of UPS district Western Europe. He also acted as an international ambassador for diversity and inclusion and played a key role as the region completed a five-year USD 2 billion investment cycle.
Prior to joining UPS, Carrera was director of EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) for Menlo Worldwide, a global freight forwarding company. When UPS acquired Menlo Worldwide in 2005, Carrera oversaw the integration of the sales teams. (amh)
