UPS launches new supply chain tech
UPS has launched its UPS Supply Chain Symphony software integrates supply chain components (shipping, warehousing, and inventory management) into a single platform.
As compiling supply chain data can be difficult and costly, this new Software as a Service can help users benefit from asset utilisation and forecasting accuracy. The platform combines previous tools such as its shipping, logistics and forwarding outsourcing services. It also helps users navigate international trade laws, cargo management and urgent transportation.
“UPS Supply Chain Symphony delivers robust visibility in the UPS global portfolio of services so that our customers can view and orchestrate better outcomes,” stated Bill Seward, president of UPS Supply Chain Solutions. (mk)
