UPS expands healthcare logistics network
Bomi Group, a multinational healthcare logistics provider with Italian roots, has become the next target of UPS's expansion strategy. The takeover will add temperature-controlled facilities in 14 countries and nearly 3,000 Bomi staff members to the integrator's healthcare network in Europe and Latin America.
Kate Gutmann, EVP and president of UPS International, healthcare and supply chain solutions, spoke of another step in UPS's “journey to become the number one provider of complex healthcare logistics.”
Founded in 1985, Bomi Group is a provider of services for the medtech and pharma sectors, covering more than 150 multinational customers worldwide. Key Bomi Group executives, including CEO Marco Ruini, and its employees will stay on board. (sh)
