Upgrade to improve cargo handling
Sustainable Terminal Services (STS) is introducing the next generation of its Port Truck Pass system in the Port of New York and New Jersey in Q2 or Q3/2022.
The upgrade will significantly enhance Port Truck Pass. It includes STS’s RFID-based truck identification system and its terminal information portal system and will help dealing with certain supply chain challenges and facilitate the movement of containerised cargo within the port.
STS will also be implementing information modules for rail, chassis and integration with US Customs. Port Truck Pass is the first port-wide portal to provide this comprehensive tool for motor carriers and cargo interests. (ben)
