Upgrade for 77 Traxx locomotives
Luxembourg-headquartered Alpha Trains has contracted Alstom/Bombardier Transportation to refurbish 77 Traxx locomotives.
The locomotives will be upgraded to ETCS Baseline (BL) 3 Release 2, of which 55 are Bombardier Traxx 186 engines licenced to operate in Germany, Austria, Belgium and the Netherlands, eight are Vossloh G1206 and 14 are Vossloh G2000 locomotives. All Vossloh locomotives are licenced to operate in Germany and the Netherlands.
NIne Vossloh G1000 locomotives from Alpha Trains for deployment in Germany and Luxembourg have already been equipped with ETCS Baseline 3 Maintenance Release 1.
