Update of CMA CGM's digital status

Now it is the CMA CGM group's turn. After Maersk and other shipping groups, the French carrier, hit this week by a cyber attack, continues to recover.

Ceva Logistics was spared by the "Ragnar Locker Gang" suspected to be responsible for the incident. For a time, the French group has interrupted all internal access to its network and computer application in order to isolate the malware and take protective measures.

The risk of a data breach seems to have been avoided, as the group now stated. "All communications to and from the CMA CGM Group are secure, including emails, transmitted files and electronic data interchange (EDI)."

CAM CGM further said that all maritime and port activities are fully operational. Furthermore, alternative solutions to the e-business site are available in order to keep business up and running. (cd)
