UP appoints Christina Conlin as chief legal officer
Union Pacific has named Christina Conlin as senior vice-president, chief legal officer and corporate secretary, effective from the end of March.
She succeeds Craig Richardson, who’ll retire after more than a decade in the role. Conlin will oversee the company’s legal affairs, including litigation, labour, regulatory and claims matters. CEO Jim Vena welcomed her as “a strong leader who’ll drive efficiency and long-term value.” She joined Union Pacific in December 2024 as deputy general counsel.
Previously, she led legal risk functions at Goodyear and held senior roles at McDonald’s and Baker McKenzie. Vena also thanked Richardson for his leadership through a dynamic legal environment.
Union Pacific operates in 23 western US states, providing efficient freight transport while aiming to reduce its environmental impact. (ah)
