United Cargo strengthens ties with Germany
United Cargo will enhance its "TempControl" service by becoming the first US carrier to lease temperature-controlled shipping containers manufactured by the German ULD provider DoKaSch Temperature Solutions.
The new global rental agreement enables United Cargo's customers to lease the "Opticooler RAP" directly from the Chicago-based carrier. With the ability to fit up to five euro pallets or four CP1 Pallets of cargo, the Opticooler helps shippers meet the - especially since the pandemic - growing global demand for pharmaceuticals.
Meanwhile, United Cargo is augmenting its timetable between the USA and Germany. It now offers 21 pure cargo flights per week Frankfurt to Chicago, Houston, New York EWR, San Francisco and Los Angeles. From tomorrow, 5 May 2020, the airline will also fly to Washington IAD. (ah)
