United Cargo cuts the ribbon on new EWR facility
Last week, the United team hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the United Cargo’s new 15,329 sqm cargo facility at Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR).
Several United executives, state and local elected officials and other stakeholders took the opportunity to emphasise the importance of what the space means for the company and the community. EWR is especially vital to the airline’s cargo operation and represents nearly 30% of the company’s global tonnage and revenue.
The new facility increases the cargo availability to a net gain of more than 7,154 sqm in facility space, giving one of the highest revenue entities even more space to manage busy cargo operations. The cargo facility on airport property is 14,307 sqm, giving the company a total of 29,636 sqm of extra cargo space at EWR. (cj)
