Unilode renews ULD partnership and offers digital pallet solution
Building on a partnership that started in 2014, Unilode Aviation Solutions, a provider of outsourced unit load device (ULD) management and repair solutions, has renewed a long-term agreement for managing the ULD fleet of Hawaiian Airlines, a US passenger carrier and the longest-serving airline in Hawaii.
In terms of digitisation, Unilode and the German company PalNet, a ULD manufacturer, have jointly developed an integrated solution for all types of “PalNet” pallets that minimises the risk of damage or loss of the digital tag and does not obstruct daily operations or interfere with pallet stacking.
Based on Bluetooth Low Energy 5, it will be introduced to Unilode's entire ULD fleet, starting in Q2, and will also be available for non-Unilode customers. (ah)
