Unilever banks on TST
British-Dutch consumer goods company Unilever has entrusted part of the logistics at the warehouse in Mannheim, its central location in Germany for the storage of household and personal care products, which include company brands such as Axe, Dove, Domestos and Coral, to TST.
The logistics company, which is based in Worms, Germany, will take over services involved in the preparation for distribution to all drugstores, discounters, supermarkets, and e-commerce.
TST will be in charge of logistics processes for shipments, such as order picking and parcel dispatch, repacking production as well as packaging for marketing and trade campaigns.
TST won the contract following an extensive tendering and will take over all employees that used to work for the previous logistics provider at this location. Unilever employs more than 149,000 people worldwide and generated a turnover of EUR 50.7 billion in 2020. (sh)
