Unifeeder expands into Latin America
Unifeeder Group, part of DP World, has opened an office in Panama City and launched additional feeder routes. The expansion aims to enhance trade and economic growth in the region.
The Panama office will coordinate with the company’s global headquarters in Aarhus, Denmark, supporting operations in Latin America, where the company plans to handle over 200,000 teu and make 800 port calls in 2024.
Recent route additions include services connecting Hispaniola and Puerto Rico, Colombia and Panama, and Venezuela with the ABC islands, improving logistics for time-sensitive exports like fresh fruit. This growth strategy is part of DP World’s broader commitment to enhancing global maritime logistics and strengthening economic ties through efficient supply chain solutions. (pb)
