Unifeeder broadens DP World's portfolio
The Unifeeder Group, a part of DP World since 2018, has opted for further acquisitions. The Unifeeder ISC platform managed the purchase of Transworld Feeders FZCO, Avana Logistek Limited, including its subsidiary Avana Global FZCO, and Transworld Feeders, the containerised Indian coastal and Exim feeder shipping operations of Shreyas Shipping and Logistics Limited.
Avana Logistek and Avana Global serve 60 ports, and Transworld Feeders and Shreyas Shipping 53. Combined, the companies handle approximately 1.2 million teu annually. The price of the transaction, which is due to be finalised in 2020, was not disclosed.
Through Transworld Feeders and Avana Global, Unifeeder now bolsters its presence towards the west of the Indian Subcontinent and complements its recent acquisition of Feedertech and Perma Shipping. (mw)
