Ukraine/Turkey extend visas for goods transport
The extended agreement applies to visa-free bilateral goods transports and transit traffic between the two countries and is to remain in force until at least the end of the war in Ukraine.
According to the Ukrainian ministry of transport, 15% of exports from Ukraine to Turkey and 60% of imports from Turkey to Ukraine are transported in trucks.
With the extension of the agreement, trucks can continue to cross the countries’ borders without authorisation, with the exception of unauthorised entries of empty trucks. The bilateral agreement has also increased the number of permits for goods transports to and from third countries by 1,000 to up to 3,500. (ben)
